Framing Exploration Strategies Course

What is the best exploration strategy for our acreage position? How should we appraise our discovery in the most efficient and cost-effective manner? Attend this course to become adept at framing exploration strategy using powerful decision quality tools and techniques. Through an interactive mix of theory and hands-on relevant case example applications, learn to frame important exploration decisions including country entry, block strategy, appraisal strategy and stakeholder management planning. Learn to bring scenario thinking into the frame to proactively manage exploration strategy as the landscape unfolds.

  • Uncertainty reduction framing tools in the exploration framing workflow 

  • Introduction to Scenario “Oracle” Trees to understand impact of uncertainty outcomes on exploration acreage/project decisions  

  • Case study breakout: Exploration or appraisal strategy and stakeholder management plans
