Overview
Deepwater Appraisal Excellence (3 Days)
The overarching objective of this workshop is to develop comfort and expertise in the nuances of framing and evaluating deepwater appraisal to early production system strategy. The target attendees are teams and those supporting teams working deepwater appraisal.
Typical agenda:
Day 1 – Framing and evaluating early appraisal strategy, and appraisal strategy in the event of discovery. Review and case example practice of value of information (VOI) fundamentals, reliability of information interviewing and uncertainty reduction plots. Developing and using scenario trees and uncertainty reduction plots to develop early appraisal and penetration strategy.
Day 2 – Framing and evaluating later appraisal strategy. Review and case example practice of optimization VOI fundamentals, and learning to value more appraisal vs. building flexibility into development plans. Expert interview practice and real problems worked.
Day 3 – Framing and evaluating early production systems (EPS) and phased developments. Case example worked from the frame, to the confidence plots and through to detailing the branches EPS decision trees. Final EPS concepts are compared to full field development.
