Overview

Decision Frameworks value-of-information (VOI) workshop provides a complete skill development package, while encouraging participants to select and focus on the type of information decisions most relevant to them - the decisions they confront on a daily basis.

Development Package

Decision Frameworks' VOI skills development package ensures autonomy in the evaluation of oilfield information decision problems. It is a practical, stepwise approach to guiding teams through VOI problem set-up, assessment of key variables, initial valuation, sensitivities, and targeted insights. Additionally, hands-on training with DTrio VOI software facilitates the framing, problem characterization, and value of essentially all oilfield information decision problems

Course Outline

Day 1 – VOI fundamentals and practice with relevant pre-defined cases (seismic, core, logs, tests).

Day 2 and 3 – Nuances and tools for later appraisal and development information – practice with relevant cases in the morning and real world problems in the afternoon.  The focus is on information for deciding how to develop discoveries and on optimizing appraisal programs, production data, pilots, phased developments and concept selection.
